A hiking trail that starts at Rúa de Francos (Calo) and runs for around 8 kilometres in the surroundings.
This route runs along a former stretch of the oldest railway line in Galicia (Cornes - Carril), located between the villages of Vilar de Abaixo (Teo) and Angueira de Suso (Padrón). A stretch which, after the opening of the high-speed AVE line in 2007 is now disused and abandoned.
A circular hike which starts and ends alongside the Gothic stone cross in Francos, and whose main points of interest are the traditional clusters of the villages of Rúa de Francos, Vilar de Arriba, Bascuas and Vilar do Medio, the sanctuary and oak grove of San Bieito de Bascuas, the bridges and riverbanks of the small streams in the parish of Santa María de Cruces; it also runs through the 133 metres of the old Faramello tunnel, one of the great engineering works of the early Galician railway.
