Ecclesiastical complex formed by the church, the stone cross and the via crucis of San Simón de Ons.
The Church of San Simón de Ons, in Cacheiras is in the Baroque style and dates from the 18th century. The façade is stonework and has two bell towers each side (built at different times). The intermediate area of the façade is adorned with two stone images: the one in the lower section represents the Immaculate Conception, and the upper one, the patron, Saint Simón.
In the atrium of the church we find the Via Crucis, a series of thirteen stone crosses; particularly noteworthy is the unique cross in the eastern section, erected on a high pedestal with the inscription VIA SAGRADA DOLOROSA 1777.
The complex is completed by a stone cross from the late 17th century which, even though it is now outside the atrium, was located inside. It presents two different representations depending on which side faces the church, or the road.
