This is an Atlantic riparian forest, and is in a fine state of conservation for the enjoyment of nature. 

This space stands out principally for its environmental values, mainly for the great diversity of flora and fauna. However there are also heritage elements such as mills, dams, small bridges, etc. 

It is a well-conserved oak forest that is crossed by a stream, the Sestelo, and is located on the itinerary of the Camino da Geira and Muleteers. The predominant trees are oaks but there are multiple accompanying tree species such as willows, laurels, and also some hawthorns.
